Recognizing and Responding to Opioid Overdoses

The City of Portland’s India Street Public Health Center will be presenting a training on Opioid Overdose Recognition and Response.

Join us to learn:

  • The risk factors that can cause an opioid overdose
  • The signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose How to effectively respond to an opioid overdose
  • The current law in regard to opioids Community access to support

Additionally, we will show you how to prepare naloxone (or Narcan).

Our instructor has been working in harm reduction since 2009. She is a Community Health Promotion Specialist with the City of Portland’s Public Health Division and oversees the daily operations of the Portland Needle Exchange Program.
